Missions

Matthew 25: 34-36 & 40

“Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who will receive good things from my Father. Inherit the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world began. I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you gave me clothes to wear. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you visited me.’ [...] Then the king will reply to them, ‘I assure you that when you have done it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you have done it for me.”

Living Out Our Faith Through Missions

At Ebenezer, we believe that loving our neighbors is a central part of our calling as Christians. Through our mission work, we strive to care for those in need—feeding the hungry, offering support, and sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways. Below are some of the ways our congregation is making a difference:

Backpack Weekend Food Program

We support seven students at Catawba Heights Elementary School by providing food through the Backpack Weekend Food Program. Volunteers help pick up, pack, and deliver backpacks filled with food each week. It costs $341 to support one student for the entire school year.

Food Collection for S.O.C.K.S.

Each month, our church collects specific food items for S.O.C.K.S., a volunteer-run crisis assistance ministry serving Eastern Gaston County. This ongoing effort helps ensure local families have access to essential groceries.

Support for the Unhoused in Charlotte

A group from Ebenezer travels to Charlotte each month to deliver much-needed items to our unhoused neighbors. If you feel called to be a part of this outreach, we welcome your involvement.
